Service Description

The SAP process is necessary for anyone who has a DOT violation due to drug or alcohol use and has been removed from their job because of it. The initial SAP appointment is 90 minutes long. After that appointment, there is a lot of paperwork involved on the part of the counselor to complete a full assessment and write a treatment plan for the client. Once the treatment plan is complete, it is shared with the client via phone call. From that point, the client has to complete the treatment plan and then he or she contacts the SAP counselor once it is complete. The SAP counselor will then set up another 1 hour appointment with the client to discuss the treatment plan and ensure that it has been fully completed. At that point the SAP counselor updates the DOT Clearinghouse system with the client's information. Any supplemental appointments or paperwork needed by the client will result in additional fees.
